Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Tanzi Co. ("AUTOPSY", "we", "us", "our") and govern your use of the AUTOPSY iOS application and the website at autopsyapp.com (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use AUTOPSY.

1. Eligibility

• You must be at least 17 years old to create an account. We refuse signups from anyone whose declared date of birth indicates an age below 17.
• The Service is rated 17+ on the App Store; some content is unsuitable for younger users.
• When you upload a screenshot, you affirm that every person depicted in the conversation is 18 or older.
• You must have legal authority to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction.

2. The Service

AUTOPSY is a discussion app for relationship-themed conversations. You upload screenshots of conversations, the community votes "guilty" or "victim", and a paid feature ("AI Psychologist") generates an AI-written commentary on the case. AUTOPSY is intended for entertainment and discussion. It is not a court, a counselor, or a legal or medical service.

3. Your account

You sign in with Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email and password. You are responsible for the activity on your account, for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You may not impersonate another person, create accounts for someone else without their consent, share your account, or use the Service to evade a previously enforced ban.

AUTOPSY assigns you a pseudonymous handle on signup, which you can edit from Settings. We do not display your real name. AUTOPSY is pseudonymous, not anonymous: see section 8.

4. Your content and the license you grant us

You retain ownership of the screenshots, titles, descriptions, comments, votes, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content you grant Tanzi Co. a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (only to our service providers solely for the purposes below) license to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical compatibility, redact, display, and distribute Your Content for the limited purposes of operating, providing, securing, moderating, improving, and promoting the Service.

This license ends when you delete Your Content or your account, except for (a) anonymized, aggregated analytics that cannot be used to identify you and (b) backup copies retained for the rolling period stated in our Privacy Policy. You are solely responsible for what you submit and confirm that you have the rights to submit it.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree that you will not submit, share, or distribute content, and will not use the Service, in a way that:

• Identifies, attempts to identify, or in fact identifies a person under 18;
• Contains personal data sufficient to identify a private individual without their consent — names, addresses, phone numbers, identity numbers, financial details, license plates, workplace identifiers — beyond what survives our automated redaction;
• Threatens, harasses, stalks, intimidates, defames, or incites violence against any person or group;
• Constitutes hate speech or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or other protected characteristic;
• Contains sexually explicit material, sexual content of identifiable real people, child sexual abuse material, or content that sexualizes minors;
• Promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous activities;
• Promotes terrorism, organized criminal activity, or trafficking;
• Infringes the intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or contractual rights of others;
• Is fraudulent, deliberately misleading, a deepfake, or a defamatory factual claim presented as truth;
• Contains malware, exploits, or attempts to compromise the Service or another user;
• Constitutes spam, mass messaging, automated voting, or coordinated brigading;
• Violates any law applicable to you, including criminal laws against insult, harassment, breach of privacy, and unlawful disclosure of personal data.

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. Violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension or termination, device or network blocks, and reports to law enforcement when appropriate.

6. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

Every case and comment includes an in-app Report button covering categories such as harassment, doxxing, non-consensual content, content depicting a minor, hate speech, sexual content, fraud, IP infringement, and other violations. You can also Block any user from Settings → Blocked Users to hide their content.

We operate a moderation review queue and commit to acting on verified reports within 24 hours of becoming aware of them, in line with App Store Review Guideline 1.2. Moderation is primarily post-publication: our pipeline runs automated checks at upload and surfaces high-risk content to human review. We may, without prior notice:

• Remove or edit any content;
• Suspend or terminate any account;
• Block a device or network address;
• Disclose information to lawful authorities as required.

If content depicts you and you want it removed, use the in-app report flow or write to [email protected] with the case ID. Our published support email is [email protected].

7. Intellectual property — DMCA and similar takedowns

AUTOPSY, the AUTOPSY name, the wordmark, the icon, and all related branding are owned by Tanzi Co. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property right, send a written notice to [email protected] with: (i) identification of the work; (ii) identification of the case ID and URL of the alleged infringement; (iii) your contact information; (iv) a statement, under penalty of perjury where applicable, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the rights holder; (v) your physical or electronic signature. We will respond within 24 hours and may, in our discretion, remove or disable access to the content. Counter-notices may be sent to the same address.

8. Pseudonymity and law-enforcement cooperation

AUTOPSY is pseudonymous, not anonymous. We do not display your real name, but we maintain authentication identifiers, IP addresses, and device fingerprints for the period stated in our Privacy Policy. Where required by a valid court order, prosecutor request, regulatory order, or other lawful instrument from a competent authority, we cooperate with law enforcement to the extent legally compelled. Do not use AUTOPSY if you require absolute anonymity from authorities.

9. AI verdict disclaimer

AUTOPSY uses OpenAI's GPT-4o large language model, accessed through OpenAI's API, to generate the "AI Psychologist" verdict you read after a case closes. Verdicts are produced by an AI based on the redacted screenshot text, the case title and description, and the community vote split.

Verdicts are AI-generated entertainment commentary, not advice. The AI can be wrong, biased, or out of date and may produce content that is not factually accurate. AUTOPSY is not a substitute for professional advice and must not be used to make legal, medical, psychological, psychiatric, financial, employment, safety, or other consequential decisions, and must not be used in any high-risk context. The AI is configured to avoid clinical labels (for example, "narcissist", "sociopath", "borderline") but we do not guarantee the AI never produces such language. By using AUTOPSY you acknowledge that verdicts are AI-generated and accept that you are solely responsible for any actions you take in reliance on them. If you need professional help, consult a licensed practitioner.

10. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

Some features of the Service are available only with an active Court Pass subscription, including deep AI Psychologist verdicts (up to 10 per day, with a higher word count and follow-up reasoning), the ability to re-roll an AI verdict for a fresh take, one free case boost per day, and a Court Pass badge on your profile and comments. Subscriptions and one-time purchases are sold and processed by Apple under the Apple Media Services Terms.

Auto-renewal disclosure. AUTOPSY Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed at the price and frequency shown at the point of purchase. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

Subscription pricing is shown in your local currency at the App Store. Indicative pricing at launch is ₺99.99 per month or ₺599.99 per year, subject to change.

11. Verdict Coins and other virtual items

"Verdict Coins" and similar in-app virtual items are a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use a feature of the Service. They have no monetary value, are not redeemable for cash, cannot be exchanged outside the Service, and may be modified, suspended, expired, or revoked. Verdict Coin balances persist until used or until your account is deleted. Coins are sold by Apple as in-app purchases.

12. Refunds

All payments are processed by Apple. Apple decides refunds, chargebacks, and renewals under its policies. We do not directly process payments and cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

13. Acceptable use of the technology

You will not, except as permitted by applicable law:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the app;
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the Service;
• Interfere with the security, integrity, or performance of the Service, including by circumventing rate limits or moderation systems;
• Use the Service to send spam, malware, or unsolicited communications;
• Use the Service to train an AI model or to build a competing product or feature.

14. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Deletion follows the timeline set out in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate your access if we believe you have breached these Terms, if continued operation poses a risk to users or to the Service, or if required by law. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections 4 (license), 7 (IP), 8 (pseudonymity), 9 (AI disclaimer), 11 (virtual items), 12 (refunds), 16–19, and 22 survive.

15. Apple acknowledgements

The following acknowledgements apply if you obtained the Service from the Apple App Store:

• These Terms are concluded between you and Tanzi Co. only, and not with Apple. Tanzi Co. is solely responsible for the Service and its content.
• The license granted to you in these Terms is limited to a non-transferable license to use the Service on any Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Apple Media Services Terms.
• Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support for the Service.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the Service or your possession or use of it, including product-liability claims, claims that the Service fails to conform to any applicable legal or regulatory requirement, and consumer-protection claims.
• Apple is not responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, or discharge of any third-party claim that the Service or your use of it infringes intellectual-property rights.
• You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US-government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US-government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and are entitled to enforce them.

16. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free. We do not warrant the accuracy or reliability of any AI verdict, vote tally, comment, or user content. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; portions of this section may not apply to you.

17. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Tanzi Co., its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid Tanzi Co. in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred euros (€100). Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or for any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

18. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Tanzi Co. and its officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from any claim, demand, loss, liability, or expense, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from or related to (a) Your Content, (b) your breach of these Terms, (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity right, or (d) your violation of any applicable law.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service shall be brought exclusively before the Istanbul Çağlayan Courts and Enforcement Offices, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts. EU and UK consumers retain the rights they have under mandatory local law.

20. Sign in with Apple parity and third-party services

Where we offer a third-party social login (Google Sign-In), we offer Sign in with Apple as an equivalent option in line with App Store Review Guideline 4.8. Third-party services integrated into AUTOPSY (Apple, Google, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Cloudflare) are governed by their own terms and privacy policies; we do not control them and are not responsible for their practices.

21. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or applicable law evolves. For material changes we will give at least 14 days' notice inside the app and on this page. Continued use of the Service after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.

22. Miscellaneous

• Entire agreement: these Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on the same subject.
• Severability: if any provision is held unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
• Waiver: our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
• Assignment: you may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
